DIY | Holiday Gift Wrapping Ideas
It's the last weekend before Christmas which means we have to finish up shopping for a few last minute gifts and finish up our wrapping! This year I stuck with black, white and kraft wrapping paper, jazzing up my gifts with different items like fresh greenery and ornaments. If you're looking for some wrapping ideas I thought I'd share mine with you!
Perhaps the easiest way to spruce up (no pun intended) your gifts, simply attach pieces of fresh greenery to your gifts using twine, ribbon or gold metal wire like I did here for a traditional Winter look. Sometimes I even just snip a few branches off the back of my tree!
Modern and fun, that was my goal with these gifts. I found the small bright glass ornaments at a local shop and used existing neon twine that I had laying around. I designed and printed the No Peeking! tags on some white card stock and cut them out. Next year I definitely want to have more fun creating cheeky gift tags like these for my gifts!
Why not replace name gift tags with pictures instead? This is a personal and fun way to evoke memories for the gift recipient. I had found some old black and white photos of my dad and thought it would be fun and nostalgic to attach them to his gifts. I used Artifact Uprising to order square prints of memories I had shared with my family and friends the past year and replaced their gift tags with them. I personally can't wait to give these gifts.
TIP: Kraft paper is a versatile wrapping paper. Try using rubber stamps or metallic pens to create patterns and designs directly on the paper.
