From furniture, to hair, to art, to wood, dip dyeing is everywhere and a trend that I can't seem to get enough of! Perfectionists beware: this technique is usually hand-dipped creating an uneven, gradient, one-of-a-kind look. For me, however, I happen to think that's what gives it its cool factor and what I love most about it. I can't wait to experiment with some DIY projects this summer on the patio using various textiles and dyes (maybe I'll even host a DIY dip dye party!) , but for now, I'll be scooping up some of these pieces to start my colorful collection and prep for those summer nights. Happy weekend ya'll!
From Top Left Clockwise:
MELANGE STRIPE KNIT PILLOW || From one of my favorite shops in Brooklyn, LEIF, this knit pillow will brighten and cozy up any space. DIP DYED WOODEN SPOON || This is such an easy and awesome DIY as a gift to yourself or a dinner party hostess. I never know what to bring to a dinner party, besides a bottle of wine, so how unique would it be to pair these with a jar of your homemade salad dressing? Just add a bowl of lettuce! OMBRE PLACEMAT || Indoors or outdoors, these are a summer nights essential ASSEMBLY GRADIENT CURTAIN || Business at the top, party at the bottom. I'm envisioning these white and citron light weight curtains blowing in the summer wind against a gray or white wall - with a pop of bright pink nearby, CHARCOAL DIP DYE BEAN BAG/FOOTSTOOL || Bean bag chairs are back! Great for additional seating, a foot stool or as an extra side table, these are functional, easily transportable and pretty damn awesome looking. CUBE PLANTER || A little bit rustic, a little bit modern, my all-time-favorite combination. This little planter is sure to be a desk or mantle pleaser. WOODEN CANDLE CUPS || Each one hand-dipped and unique, these adorable candle cups also have a rubber bottom, so you don't have to stress during that dinner party or romantic evening. The gold rim is a modern, glamorous touch. DIP DYED STOOLS || Reclaimed teak wooden stools from Serena & Lily can be used for additional living room seating, in a playroom or for bathroom storage, perhaps to house that Cube Planter or to keep folded towels on.
