Sometimes we can't always get what we want in our home, and sometimes we can by just getting a little creative. I've always dreamed of having a beautiful entry table and I've always wanted a bad ass bar cart styled and stocked perfectly down to a bottle of rare bourbon for when that one friend comes over and asks for a glass. But I knew having both of these in our new apartment would just make it cluttered.
That's when I started exploring how I could use a bar cart as my entry table. Here's what I've found that's gotten me inspired and pretty darn excited. I mean, what better way to greet your guests than with a fresh cocktail right?!
I have a pretty little lamp that I really couldn't find a place for, until I realized it would be the perfect fit for an entryway. The cart above demonstrates how you can incorporate and mix typical console table items such as lamps and vases with your bar cart essentials..
Bar carts have always had a luxurious yet practical feel to me. They aren't meant to be taken too seriously - which is why I plan to add a little personality to mine with some fun glassware, cheeky artwork and fresh flowers.
This is one of the first projects I plan to work on in our new space and I think I've found the perfect bar cart inspired by this past post on bringing rattan back into the home. I can't wait to share it with all of you and ask for your advice!
